STUDIO

combining manual, 2D and 3D pattern cutting - images show process of digitizing paper pattern and turning it into digital pattern and 3D render

combining usage of Inventex (a 2D CAD program where patterns are made) with Clo 3D (where 3D renders are made)

creating a 3D render and digital pattern from a digital block - entire process takes place on the computer using 2 programs

An avatar can be adjusted to fit desired measurements. This will serve for female, male and child in a range of XS to XXL sizes. An entire studio full of mannequins in one program

digital toile on the avatar - this program makes remote pattern cutting super easy and clear to the client. A process of creating the pattern and the toile can be visualised in a very quick and reliable way

images show a program where digital patterns are made. Paper patterns (manual) can also be very accurately photodigitized and edited within the program to create a digital pattern

a production ready pattern with all the instructions and seam allowances ready to export to DXF or plot

CAD program - production ready patterns are accompanied with pattern report where all the pattern pieces making the model are listed together with the cutting instructions - all made within the program

Images show the process of turning a paper pattern into a digital pattern. Last images on the collage show the plot preview and the actual plotted pattern

A beauty of combining the 2 worlds. While some garments can be easily rendered and altered straight in CAD some patterns may need some manual manipulations (some draperies, complex pieces, special fabrics etc). Once the base is made manually it can be easily digitised to a program and finished digitally. Digital pattern cutting proves to be quicker and more accurate
